Description
Our Nectar Shiraz is grown at our Greenock and Moppa vineyards, with an average vine age of around 25 years.
Grape parcels are fermented separately in small open fermenters, then basket pressed to predominantly 1 – 3 year old French and American oak for 24 months maturation. A selection is then made of some of the most full bodied components to produce our limited release Nectar Shiraz.
Tasting Notes
Deep and rich in colour, the wine shows ripe blackberry and plum characters, sweet oak and a touch of dark liquorice. The palate is rich and smooth with black fruit and dark chocolate characters, followed by a long, firmly structured finish.
Cellar for up to 10 years if you can wait that long.
